Back from the Island

I am a fifth year student at Concordia University, St. Paul. I have just returned from a year long Director of Christian Education Internship at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Aiea, Hawaii. These are the reflections of the past year in Hawaii as well as current thoughts and feelings of being a super senior at Concordia.

Welcome to the life of a fifth year Director of Christian Education student at Concordia University, St. Paul, MN. I will be graduating this December and will be looking to take a call to a congregational setting, hopefully being involved with youth ministry. This blog will give you a glimpse at my life now as well as reflections on my past year as a DCE intern at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aiea, Hawaii. I will share both the joys and challenges, ups and downs, of being a DCE student.

Philippians 2:1-4- If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Just a reminder that God is with you in every step of your life and will be there to guide you, hold you, lift you up, encourage you, motivate you, and the list goes on and on. Take this love He so richly blesses us with and pass it on to everyone you can, by all the means you can and in all the ways you can.

God's Blessings

Jodi
